1:1 Leadership Coaching

Leverage your wisdom
into meaningful action.

Leadership coaching helps you translate your personal and professional insight into action — so you can lead more effectively, find more meaning, and create a workplace where your team can thrive.

Ellie Jacques, 1:1 Leadership Coach
What Is Coaching?

A focused investment in yourself — and everyone you lead.

We hire coaches to help our kids improve their test scores or achieve athletic excellence. We hire therapists to coach us through emotional hardship. Why not hire coaches to achieve meaning and excellence at work?

When you partner with a coach, you make a focused investment in moving from point A to point B on a goal, challenge, or opportunity in your professional journey — whether in how you lead yourself or how you lead and serve others.

A coach provides the space, structure, and reflection needed to gain perspective, leverage your own wisdom, and progress on your path. This kind of coaching centers you as the source of knowledge and power, which renews your sense of agency, self-trust, and confidence.

"Learning that's discovered lasts longer than learning that's delivered."

Coach vs. Mentor vs. Advisor
Coach

Focuses on your internal potential

Co-discovers strategies with you as a thought partner and catalyst. Asks powerful questions. Non-directive — draws out what you already know.

Mentor

Shares personal experience

Guides you based on their own path. Semi-directive — shares what worked for them.

Advisor

Provides specific solutions

Tells you what to do. Directive — prescribes a course of action based on their expertise.

Who Is Coaching For?

Coaching could help you if…

  • You're at a significant transition: a new career, a new role, or returning after a career pause
  • Nothing is particularly wrong, but nothing is totally right — you're restless and wonder if there's something more
  • You aspire to be a better leader and a greater force for good in your workplace or community
  • You want to incorporate more sustainability or balance into your work and life
  • You feel lost, or you're very focused on a goal but unsure of your next step
  • You need short-term support working through a tricky decision
  • You're experiencing a particular challenge — a relationship, a change, or a project at work
What Will I Experience?

Outcomes you can expect.

Clarity of strengths, values, and long- and short-term goals
Enhanced ability to make values-based decisions across personal and professional domains
Ability to prioritize balance, work sustainably, leverage boundaries, and maintain focus
Increased self-awareness, personal agency, and accountability
Greater personal resilience and a protected, growing sense of well-being
The skills and insight to more effectively lead and serve others
The Approach

Inquiry-based. Values-driven. Centered on you.

In a coaching relationship, Ellie and the client create intentional space to translate subconscious, disjointed, or emerging wisdom into coherent personal insight and action.

Ellie uses inquiry-based coaching — collaborative conversations that invite reflection, build accountability, and support action aligned with personal values.

She also practices values-based coaching, which uses the client's own values to make decisions, prioritize actions, and identify contradictions or areas lacking congruence.

A coach listens deeply and asks powerful questions. A coach is a steady, consistent presence. A coach prioritizes insight over instruction — and resists the temptation to solve every problem, because the learning you discover yourself is the learning that lasts.
